H5N1 Outbreaks

According To The People’s Health Organisation,” There is No Need To Panic Because Of H5N1 Outbreaks

A new bird flu strain transmits among the wild and the poultry birds along with the other mammals. Wild birds are triggered by the explosive spreading of the corners of the world. This virus attacks a variety of mammal species and also raises the fear of a pandemic. According to the research, this virus is much more contentious than COVID-19.

The news strain H5N1 emerged in 2020 and it spread to many parts of Africa, Europe, and Asia as well as North and South America. The unprecedented number of deaths increases among the birds and domestic poultry.

The virus contaminated mammals varying from foxes and Grizzly bears to sea lions and seals who are feeding the ill and dying birds. Recent medical research shows that properly cooked poultry meat is almost free of spreading the virus. But half-cooked poultry meats are the main sources of spreading the virus.

Dr. Timothy Uyeki, chief medical officer of the U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Influenza Division, stated in an interview.

“We think the risk to the public is low,”

Richard Webby, director of the WHO Collaborating Center for Studies on the Ecology of Influenza in Animals and Birds at St. Jude Children’s Hospital stated.

“It’s clear that this is a very, very successful virus for birds, and that almost excludes it from being a very, very successful virus in mammals,”
